Alex Mullins, APRN
Psychiatric Nurse Practioner
Alex Mullins, APRN provides psychiatric services at Labette Center through televideo services. Originally from Louisville, KY, Mullins has spent most of his life in a small town outside of Louisville, LaGrange, KY, which he considers home. He currently resides there with his wife, Melanie, and two young sons, ages 6 and 4. Mullins has been working in the mental health field since 2005, with experience in both inpatient and outpatient mental health services. Roles have included mental health technician, LPN, RN, House Supervisor, Nurse Manager, clinical informatics, and for the past 2+ years - psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner. He has experience working with both children and adults, and am professionally certified to treat people across the lifespan. So far, since working as a nurse practitioner, he has worked in a local community mental health center with their assertive community treatment (ACT) team, and also in an outpatient pediatric clinic for the University of Louisville. Hobbies include boating (when the weather is warm enough!), golfing, watching/attending sporting events, and spending time at home with his family. Mullins states that he greatly enjoys what he does, and is thrilled about the opportunity to provide telepsychiatry services with LCMHS!
