Matt Newton, LSCSW - returned as a therapist with LCMHS in 2010, after previous employment with LCMHS over the past 15 years. Newton received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology from Ottawa University in Ottawa, Kansas and a Master of Science Degree in Social Work from Highlands University in Las Vegas, New Mexico in 1992. As a therapist, Newton enjoys the counseling process and working with his clients to help them find ways to address their mental health needs. When not at LCMHS, Newton stays busy working as a pastor and as a school social worker. He and his wife, Teri Jo, have six children, as well as being foster parents. His favorite pastimes include spending time with his family, reading the Bible and playing basketball.
